Cocktails... Because Adulting is Hard
The "Nothing's Better Than" bundle has quickly becoming my favourite bundle in the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue! I love the cheeky greetings, the 50s inspired graphics and the font in the dies that coordinate with the set.
In Episode 18 of "Why Did I Buy This?" I used Blender Pens to do a technique called "Two-Step Watercoloring." This technique adds detail to a two-step image using watercolor pencils and Blender Pens. It's a technique that I invented a few years ago and I love how easy it is to add shadowing to a stamped image!
The other technique I used on this card was to create a rainbow background for the die cut word "cocktails." This was done with Watercolor Pencils and the Blender Pens on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. You can see this card assembled on the replay of Episode 18.
This card makes me think of going to the beach - another thing to do when adulting is hard. ;)
You can see the two-step watercoloring on the drink and the lime. I love how it makes the drink look like it's got grenadine or simple syrup added to it, like a proper cocktail would!
Be sure to check out Episode 18 to see other great uses for Blender Pens, a "must have" in your crafting collection!
