Make Easy DIY Gift Tags & Bags in Minutes!

April is "birthday month" in my family! With no less than SEVEN birthdays this month, I'm in card and gift card making mode to ensure I have a personalized treat for each one of my family members.

Making your own gift bags and tags has a lot of perks. They are affordable, and eco-conscious as well as fully customizable to the person that you're giving the gift to. The best part? They are as fun to make as they are to give!

There are lots of ways you can customize your gift bags. My personal favourite is to stamp on a blank gift bag. This allows you to create custom patterns and colours that suit the recipient.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to get this look:

1. Use a plain bag for your gift bag. I used the Gift Bags Combo Pack from Stampin' Up!. Feel free to reuse a plain bag if you have some in your stash.
2. With a blending brush, add colour to the top of the bag. I used Soft Sea Foam.
3. Add stamped images along the top border. I added pea vines from the Sweet Pea stamp set with Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green.
4. Create a coordinating tag to add to the bag.
