Using Ombre Specialty Paper by Stampin' Up!

My favourite colour of blue is one that my family has coined "night sky blue." It's that colour right after dusk, when the sun has set, and the night shifts from blue to black.

The new Stampin' Up! Ombre Specialty Paper reminds me of that time of night! It comes in 4 colours: Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, and Night of Navy. The Night of Navy paper has that same feel of a night sky shifting through the shades of blue. When I saw this paper, I started working with that theme to create this card.

The Ombre Specialty Paper is a stunning 12x12" paper that has the glitter embedded in it. It is easy to work with and best of all tidy (unlike traditional glitter). I paired this paper with the Picture This Dies to create the effect of "peeking" out into the sky.

I wanted to create the feeling of stars in the sky, so used my Stampin' Chalk Marker to add dots to the background so the stars can be seen through the holes.

One of the stamp sets that I just can't get enough of is the Count On Me stamp set. The artwork is ADORABLE and it's a great set for colouring with your Stampin' Blends.

If you'd like to learn more about how I made this card, watch Episode 61 of "Why Did I Buy This?" and learn 3 different ways to incorporate this paper!
