Totally Techniques - Bubble Technique

Welcome to the July Totally Techniques Blog Hop! I'm Lynsay Mahon from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each month our team showcases different projects using techniques to inspire you. Follow along to see a variety of inspiring paper crafting projects!

This month the choose technique uses bubbles! How fun is that? This technique helps you create the illusion of bubbles on your background paper.

To create this unique background, start with a small amount of water in a container, with a few drops of dish soap and a liberal amount of ink refill.

The next step is definitely the most fun! Insert a straw into the solution and start blowing bubbles.

Once you have a large amount of bubbles, lay a piece of cardstock on top. The dyed bubbles will pop on the cardstock and create the textured background with the illusion of bubbles!

I used the background to create this card with the Bird's Eye View stamp set. I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and ink refills to watercolor the images.
