Totally Techniques Blog Hop - Embossed Vellum

Welcome to the Totally Techniques Blog Hop! I'm Lynsay from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each month we choose a technique to feature and crafters from around the world share their projects showcasing this technique. This month, our technique is Dry Embossed Vellum.

Dry Embossed Vellum is easily achieved with the use of a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and an embossing folder. Simply sandwich the vellum into the folder and emboss with the machine to get the textured look on vellum.

I decided to add another technique to my embossed vellum. I wanted the vellum coloured and so used my Stampin' Blends Markers to colour the vellum and spritzed with alcohol so the colours blended together.

Once dried, I used the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss and cut the vellum at the same time.

It's an efficient way to emboss and cut with these hybrid folders. I used the tree rings as the focal point on my project.

I like how the colour subtly shows from behind the tree ring.

Be sure to follow along with the rest of the designers to see the other projects using the embossed vellum techniques.

Have fun crafting!
