Let’s Talk About These Stampin’ Up! Changes (And Why I’m Actually Excited!)
Grab your coffee (or wine, I don't judge!) because we need to have a little heart-to-heart about some changes happening with Stampin' Up! I know change can be scary, but I promise there's some really good stuff mixed in here. Plus, there's one thing that needs your attention, like yesterday, so let's start there!
The Big Urgent Thing: Say Goodbye to Stampin' Write Markers 😭
Okay, don't panic, but we need to talk about this first because time is ticking! Our beloved Stampin' Write dye-based markers are getting the boot. On August 20th, they're going to the Last Chance list, which means this is literally your last shot to grab them.
I know some of you are probably freaking out right now (looking at you, who have, like, 47 of these markers!). But here's the thing - Stampin' Up! isn't being mean. They're making room for more Stampin' Blends, and let's be honest, when was the last time you reached for a Stampin' Write when you had Blends sitting right there?
Real talk: I've been using my Blends way more lately because they're just... better. The colors are richer, they blend like a dream, and they make my coloring look way more professional than I actually am!
What you need to do:
Look through your marker stash RIGHT NOW
Figure out which Stampin' Write colors you absolutely can't live without
Be ready to order on August 20th (set a phone reminder, seriously!)
And hey, those In Colors are 15% off through August 31st if you want to stock up on Blends instead!
Last Chance To Get These Stampin’ Write Markers…
Red Rubber Stamps: The End of an Era
This one honestly made me a little nostalgic. Starting in November with the Online Exclusives, Stampin' Up! is going all-in on photopolymer stamps and saying goodbye to red rubber (cling) stamps. All red rubber stamps from existing catalogs and older online exclusives will be phased out completely by April 2026.
I get it - some of you old-school stampers are attached to your red rubber. They've been our trusty companions for years! But here's why I'm actually okay with this change:
The honest truth about why this is happening:
Getting the materials for red rubber stamps has become a real pain. Rather than dealing with constant supply issues (remember the Great Stamp Shortage of 2022? Yeah, let's not do that again), they're focusing on what's reliable and, frankly, easier to use.
Why I think this is actually great:
No more guessing where your stamp is going to land!
Photopolymer is perfect for all those fancy techniques we love
Clearer images, better results
More consistent availability (no more "sorry, that stamp is backordered for 3 months")
Trust me, once you get used to the clear stamps, you won't want to go back.
The Packaging Makeover That Has Me SO Excited!
Okay, this is where I get a little nerdy, but bear with me because this new packaging situation coming in November 2025 is going to be AMAZING for organization freaks like me!
What's changing:
Everything is getting slimmer! Since photopolymer stamps are thinner, the packaging can be way more compact
Stamps and dies are going to be the same size packaging - can you imagine how neat your storage is going to look?!
Dies will have the actual artwork printed right on the package (no more mystery dies!)
The cool new stuff we're getting:
Empty Stamp & Die Organizer packs (10 at a time) starting in November
Everything stores together perfectly
Way less bulky packaging taking up space
Your craft room is about to look like a Pinterest dream!
One minor change with bundles: The stamps and dies will now come in separate packages, but they'll be the same size, ensuring they still coordinate perfectly. Honestly, I think this might be better because you can organize them however works for your brain!
My Totally Honest Take on All This
Look, I'm not going to lie to you - change is weird. When I first heard about the marker thing, I had a tiny moment of panic. And the red rubber stamps? That hit me right in the nostalgia.
But you know what? Stampin' Up! has been doing this for a long time, and they've never steered us wrong. Every change they've made has ultimately made our crafting better, easier, or more fun. Remember when we thought we'd never get used to the new catalog format? Or when they changed the ink pad design? We adapted, and we loved it.
This is just the next step in that evolution. They're not taking away things we love just to be difficult - they're making room for better options and solving real problems (like supply issues and storage nightmares).
We're in this crafting journey together, and I promise these changes are going to make our creative lives even better. Sometimes we just need a little time to see it!
Keep Calm and Stamp On!
