When You Just Want Something Easy…

If you’ve ever looked at a handmade card and thought, “I love that… but I don’t have time for all those layers,” then simple stamping is about to become your new best friend.

Simple stamping is exactly what it sounds like — creating beautiful handmade cards using just stamps, ink, and cardstock. No fancy tools, no complicated techniques, and no stress. And the best part? When done well, simple stamping can look just as polished and intentional as more advanced designs.

Why Simple Stamping Works So Well

Here’s why I love teaching and using simple stamping techniques:

✔ It’s fast

You can make multiple cards in one sitting without sacrificing style.

✔ It’s budget-friendly

You only need a stamp set, ink, and cardstock.

✔ It highlights your stamps

Great stamp designs deserve to be the star — simple stamping lets them shine.

Here’s how you can achieve the Simple Stamping Technique

One of my go-to techniques is repetition with intention.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Choose one solid or outline stamp

2. Stamp it multiple times on background paper.

3. Change the direction and colour to add variety.

4. Overlap Stamps for even more detail.

That’s it. Not a lot of layering. Not a lot of fuss. Just clean and simple card designs.
